Obituary For Claudia Fletcher

A loving wife, mother, sister, nana, aunt, cousin, and friend, it is with aching hearts we announce the passing of Claudia Fletcher from Louisdale who passed away at age 73 years in Lake Charlotte, NS in the early morning on October 21st. Daughter of the late Gerald and Beatrice (Jeffrey) Burt, Claudia passed as she wanted, in the comfort of her own home, with her hand held by her “babes,” husband Les (Fletcher) as he whispered “I love you” and “sweet nothings” in her ear. Claudia was a positive light, a most peaceful soul, with an endless capacity to give to the people she cared for in her life. She loved the simple life; enjoying her plants, feeding her humming birds, family cottage excursions, and loooong conversations with family and friends. She didn’t need much to make her happy, a good feed of lobster or pâté on occasion with loved ones, followed by a hot cup of tea was always welcomed with the biggest of smiles and a “Oh Mon Dieu!” She is survived by her husband Les, Lake Charlotte, son Paul, Edmonton, daughter Cynthia (Ralph), Milton, son Clint (Amanda), Sydney, and brothers Melvin (Karen), Edmonton, Richard (Eileen), Louisdale, Alfie (Candy) Glace Bay, Ronnie (Shirley), Lower Sackville, as well as her grandchildren Mallory, Cameron, Xander, Phoenix, Chloe, Charlotte and Korban. Predeceased by her brothers Raymond (Lillian), Donnie (Brenda), and sister Joyce (Bobby). A memorial service followed by a burial of her ashes will be held in Louisdale at St. Louis Church on January 5th, 2019 at 10 am. Messages of condolence and memories of Claudia can be shared at http://www.donaldkwalker.ca.

To the family who for many years was my second family. How very sad for your loss. She was a true Burt; and the Burt's were the most hospitable family in the world! To Les and to the rest of the family, I can offer to you what I have found comforting at these times. Our creator cares deeply for us and promises to help us through our difficulties. AND he gives us this hope; "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
