Gladys was employed at the Halifax Infirmary, where she met long time friend Cathy. Later she worked at the Chicken Tan Dor, with Lyle (a true friend) for over 30 yrs as a dedicated waitress, before moving on to raising her grandchildren. Gladys loved to be in a care giving role, she would attend to anyone in need. She loved to sing and dance, even while house cleaning, and was a woman of many words of wisdom. She loved to reminisce on past times, you could often get lost in her stories, she had an infectious laugh while lighting up any room she walked into. Gladys' home was a safe place for many children.

The family would like to give thanks to the 3rd Floor nurses of the Dartmouth General for their warm hospitality and caring support during our difficult time.

No visitation. Funeral Service on Friday, August 18th at 11am at Donald K. Walker Funeral Home at 307 Prince Albert Rd in Dartmouth.
