Obituaries

Age 64, of Fall River, passed away following a short illness on April 20, 2017. He was the son of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Thompson) Young. Larry served as a Correctional Officer for 30 plus years and had fond memories of the No.4 Shift. He is survived by loving daughters, Laura (Andrew); Sara (Jon); granddaughter , Jemma; sister, Patsy (Len); brothers, Fred and Carl. Larry shared a special individual connection with each of his nieces and nephews and will be missed dearly by his family and his many friends and former coworkers. Larry had a special love for animals, especially for his grad-dog, Benny, and for the deer and pheasants who would visit him daily to be fed. A celebration of Larry's life will take place at 11:00AM Friday, April 28 in Donald K. Walker Funeral Home, 307 Prince Albert Road, Dartmouth. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Oakridge Memorial Gardens. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
