WARREN, Lawrence (Gramps) Weston, of Lower Sackville, passed peacefully September 3, 2018 at the age of 83. Born in Bear River, NS, he was the son of the late Roney and Blanche (Crosby) Warren. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lawrence, who was affectionately known as “Gramps”. He was a hard worker, truck driver for various companies and driver for Satellite Taxi. His favorite was driving pilots to and from the airport. He valued family and enjoyed conservation with his passengers and people he met. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 61 years Myrtle(Baker) and his children, Karen Verge, Lonnie(Kay), Sherri(Bob) Polstra, Stephen(Trish); his sister Eva Manfred(Fred), Sudbury, Ont., and sister-in-law June Warren, Digby, NS; six grandchildren, Bradley and Matthew(Shaila) Verge, Kees and Ben Polstra, and Brittany and Michael Warren; four step-grandchildren, Susan and Barbara Seaboyer, Kristen and RJ Whitenect; two great grandchildren, Brianna and Mattie-Shea Verge, and five great step-grandchildren, Tyler McIsaac-Verge, Aiden Berriman-Ellis, Logan Seaboyer, Gavin and Brooklyn Porter, and Mya Seaboyer. Besides his parents, Lawrence was predeceased by his children, son Laurie and daughter Kathern, in infancy; grandson Craig Verge in infancy; sisters Jeanette Milbury, Dorothy Everett, and brother Allan Warren, all of Bear River, NS. Service Saturday, September 15, 2018, 2 p.m., Vineyard Family Ministry Centre, Middle Sackville, NS. Donations can be made to Children's Wish Foundation. Special thanks to the staff of the new infirmary, 8 South, for their kindness. “And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched.... for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.”
