Obituary for Marion Edna Young (Murray)
Marion Edna (Murray) Young (86) died Sunday December 10. She was born in Mulgrave on November 5; 1931; the youngest daughter of Oscar James Murray(Mulgrave) and Ada Hadley(Hadleyville).
She has been a faithful Jehovah's Witness for many years who enjoyed speaking to people about the good news of God's Kingdom and the upcoming resurrection of her dead loved ones to a paradise earth, where the bible promises no more sickness, death, tears or pain anymore.
She was diagnosed with diabetes at age 5 and suffered from a series of other ailments. And although she was "as deaf as a haddock" when she died; she still considered herself "a perfect example of physical fitness ".
She was a self-determined, hard working woman with a good sense of humour with a kind and generous spirit. She was a stay at home mom known for her homemade baked goods and open door hospitality("if the door was open, you were welcome"). She loved all of Jehovah's creations as seen by the various cats, dogs and rabbits; as we'll as her indoor and outdoor plants: her Cacti, Geraniums, Roses, Dahlias, and trees.
She is survived by: her husband of 59 years Ed; daughter Tamara(husband Kevin, daughter Tanisha); son Bernard(wife Caren, children: Joey, Jacquelyn, Benjamin, Dean and 2 great grandchildren); son Thane; her sister Dorothy Campbell and spiritual brothers and sisters.
She is predeceased by her daughter Zena and her sister Jean Fraser.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16th at 2 pm, at the Woodlawn Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 35 Atlantic Street, Dartmouth.
Donations can be made to the Fairview or Clayton Park Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 210 Parkland Drive, Halifax B3S 1S7
