Obituary For Mary "Theresa" Henwood (Johnson)

We, the family, are saddened to announce the passing of our wife/mother on June 9, 2019 at age 76. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick to the late Maxime J. and Marie Theotiste Johnson (Robichaud). Survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, William; daughter, Joanne Petite (Gregory); son, David and grandson, Nathan Petite. Also survived by three sisters, Shirley, Adrienne and Dorothy, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents, four sisters, Marie, Rita, Stella and Alexina, as well as two brothers, Mel and Edmond. She was an avid Coronation Street fan for many years. Mom had an unwavering love for the Bee Gees, yet enjoyed many other genres of music. To see her and Dad jive back in the day was a sight to behold. She was kind, compassionate and had a wonderful sense of humour. She loved taking trips with Dad to Mahone Bay and other places around the province, truly appreciating its beauty. We would like to thank the entire hospital staff on 8.4, Halifax Infirmary, for their excellent care and kindness and especially Dr. Christy Bussey for her diligence, thoughtfulness and sincere compassion. There will be no visitation or funeral service, as per Mom’s request. Donations may be made in her memory to The Arthritis Society

I was so saddened to hear of Theresa's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you Bill, Joanne and David. I remember the two of you coming over for Andra's 65th birthday party and it was so much fun. It was karaoke so Theresa really got to see the cousins in action-lol. I know you both had a great time and it sure was good seeing you there. Every time you came to Saint John for a visit you would go and see my mom (Elsie), and she always thought that was such a kind thing for you guys to do. Please take gentle care of each other and trust that the Lord will give you His peace during this most difficult time. Blessings to you all; Leanne and Mike
