Obituaries

Age 91, passed away on July 5, 2017. He was a great man and will be remember or his patience, gentle composure, helping hands, generosity of time and money, outstanding work ethic, loyalty, and wry sense of humour. He loved his family, his time spent at his cottage in Prince Edward Island, watching hockey, reading, playing games with family, listening to country western music, and of course, the antics of his family. He had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family or to anyone in need. Sheldon had a quiet way about him and he expressed his love to his family in very practical ways. He gave us many laughs and much joy as a family and we will certainly miss him. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Anne: his children, Donna Lynn Power, George Bell, Joanne Wells, Pamela Boyde, Stephen Bell, Valerie Allen, Robert Bell, Christopher Bell, his 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, his brother Bob and his sister Ruth. Dad had a wonderfully long life and although we will miss his presence, we are content knowing he is with the Lord. A celebration of Sheldon's life will be held in Grace Chapel, 255 Ross Street, Halifax, on Wednesday, July 12 at 11:00AM. Donations may be made to Kids to Camp at Malagash Bible Camp.
