Obituary For Jean-Marc Breton

It is with deep sadness that the family of Jean-Marc Breton, 81, announce his sudden passing on Sunday, February 6th, 2022 at his home in Cole Harbour, NS. He was born in Ste. Apolline, Quebec, son of the late Emile Breton and late Yvonne Guimont. Jean-Marc started and owned very successful family construction businesses and was well known within the industry. His craft is very evident in many areas of HRM which helps bring fond memories to his family. Jean-Marc, a very generous man, was always looking at someone else's needs before his own, starting with his family, the people he worked with and continuing on to the acquaintances he would meet on his journey. Although Jean-Marc worked hard with his business' in construction, his passion in life was his inventions. The creativity and ideas he developed were well beyond the thinking of the present day. His mind was always spinning with ideas to improve the quality of life of those in our greater society. Left to mourn are his beloved children, whom he was so proud of: Marlene (Brian Gillis) Dartmouth, NS, Patrick (Michael Pierson) Seaforth, NS and his only grandchild Weston Elliott, Dartmouth, NS. He also had a special friendship with Ashley (Paris) Brimicombe, New-Glasgow, NS. He also leaves behind his sisters: Rejeanne (Ronald Smith), Dartmouth, NS, Raymonde (Real Leclerc) Terrebonne, Quebec. Brothers: Claude (Micheline), Cow Bay, NS and Andre (Anne) Lake Echo, NS. Along with many nieces and nephews, some of whom referred to him as "Uncle Marco" "Relic" aka "Popeye Muscles". He was predeceased by his sisters Yolande and Huguette (Simon Gouin) and a brother Leandre (Lise) Montmagny, Quebec.

At his request there will be no visitation or service. Donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation, the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of choice. He will be sadly missed by all his friends, especially those in his apartment building.

A special thank you to his best friend, his sister, who was always by his side and there for him. It is with broken hearts we say our final goodbye. On t'aime Papa.

I met Jean Marc through my mom, Clairette who was his neighbor. He made her life better in so many ways through his friendship and kindness. I would pop by and knock on his door so my German Shepherd could say hello to him. He would share fond memories of his love of dogs and the ones he loved in the past. We will miss him and always have fond memories of his big heart and kind smile. Our sincere condolences to the family.
