Obituary For Carol Anne Snow

Snow, Carol Anne, age 64, Dartmouth, NS

With her husband of 42 plus years at her side, Carol passed peacefully away at Glasgow Hall in the early morning hours of December 27th, 2018 after a lengthy and hard-fought battle with Alzheimer’s. Carol worked for Zim Integrated Shipping Services (Canada) Co. Ltd. for over 25 years starting as a teletype operator and working her way up to be the Export Manager for the Halifax office. She retired in 2009. While Carol put her heart and soul into her work it did not prevent her from nurturing and raising our son Nicholas. The Navy life meant I was away for much of his growing up but Carol did a superb job parenting. I could not be prouder of how our son turned out and much of the credit for that goes to her. Carol was the daughter of the late Clara and Emmett J. Cameron of Wellington Center, PEI. She leaves behind her husband Garry, son Nicholas and daughter-in-law Sarah. Carol will also be sadly missed by family Frances (Bulger), David (Marguerite), Raymond (Paula), Elaine (Don), Ronnie, Bernie (Charmagne), Adrian (Joe) Poirier and Maxine Morgan; nieces and nephews Tony (Kim), Debbie (Lloyd), Gary Paul (Lisa), Richie (Audra), Michelle (Steven), Robbie (Betsy), Tony (Mary Ellen), Wendy, Ricky, Donnie (Nichole), Linda (Hussan), Brian (Jolena), Kenny (Bonnie), Lisa (David), Kara (Jamie), Tracy, Trina, John (Sherri), Christine, Lindsay (God Daughter), Glenn (Ivy) and Tracy (Boyd) as well as God Son Joshua McQuillan. She was predeceased by her sisters Edith Marlene and Theresa (Terry) Poirier and sisters-in-law Claudette and Theresa. The family would like to extend a very special thank-you to all of her home care workers, especially Karen, Romi and Joan and to the nursing staff at Glasgow Hall especially Madelene , Stan, Joanna, Courtney, Wendy and Libby. There are no words to express our undying gratitude for the compassionate caring you gave my special girl. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Donald K. Walker Funeral Director. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date. If you know a home care or nursing home worker, say thank-you. Their job is very demanding and very special.

David and Cameron family - I am so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting her a few times at your home when you lived in Wellington; she was a very sweet lady and as I remember great company. Take comfort in knowing she is at peace and enjoying the company of her family members who went before her. God comfort you all at this sad time. Love Sister-in-Law Maureen.
