Obituary For Clyde Daniel Gendron

It is with great sadness that the family of Sergeant Clyde Daniel Gendron (Ret.), 60, announce his passing on the 11th of February 2019, in Dartmouth, NS. Clyde was born in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario to the late Fernand and Delores (Humphrey) Gendron. He joined the Canadian Air Force in 1976 as an airframe technician. After 22 years of service he retired and started his civilian career with Canadian Springs. Clyde enjoyed playing pool and darts, belonged to a bowling league, loved singing karaoke, and was an avid fan of Star Trek. He shared his love for music with his grandchildren by playing the guitar for them. Clyde will be lovingly remembered by his children Jennifer (Andrew Kingdon) Gendron, Sabrina Gendron, and Joshua Gendron; his siblings Mark Gendron, Lois St Amour, Theresa (Paul) Charles, Marie Gendron, and John Gendron; his grandchildren Reggie, Harvey, and Sadie Kingdon; his nieces and nephews Natalie, Eric, Justin, Matthieu, Sophie, Barbara, and Jasmine; his former wife Heike Hennigar (nee Weingärtner); as well as his many friends and coworkers. His children would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of support during this difficult time, and to Donald K. Walker Funeral Directors for providing the care of final arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.donaldkwalker.ca and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Clyde and I were Airframe Techs together in Lahr, Germany. We also shared a passion for music. On those annual NATO fall exercises (and when the choppers weren't flying), we always seemed able to find enough time to strum a few tunes on our guitars. I always thought (hoped) we would get a chance to hook up again to reminisce of our shared experiences and of course, play a few more tunes. I guess now, it will have to be in that special section of heaven where all the guitar pickers get to meet and hang out on days off. My sincere condolences to the family.

My heart felt condolences to Clyde's family and friends. Clyde was a huge part of my life for more than 20 years. More than 6 years of that time we spent as a couple and we did our best to stay friends throughout the rest of time. I'm so lucky to have known this man in my life. We spoke often and he knew I was there if needed me. He was always... always there when I needed him . My life will not be the same going forward with such a hole but memories are plentiful and we will meet again.

My deepest sympathy & thoughts and prayers to the family. We've known Clyde for over 30 years , and he was always a part of birthday celebrations , bbq's , pool parties , card nights, karaoke nights! I will always remember the fun times singing with my husband Paul . I remember about 20 years ago. when our son Corey was around 2 , Clyde brought out his guitar , while Corey played along with his kid guitar. We had a lot of laughs that afternoon! We will miss him very much , and again , our deepest sympathy.
