Obituary For Dale Bourassa

Dale loved to be in the game, hustling to sell his cars, or anything that could be wheeled and dealed. He was also passionate about cooking and gardening. Dale was independent and proud, never wavering from his core values. He fiercely protected and provided for his family. He loved socializing and having meaningful conversations, making him friends wherever he went. His subtle wit and boisterous laugh made everyone around him laugh too. His generous, giant heart, will be missed. Dale is survived by his adored wife, Linda Bourassa of Mt Uniacke. Mother, Martha Bourassa of Digby. His 3 loving daughters Lisa Bourque (Wayne), Jayme Bourassa (Kerri), both of Calgary. Celeste Bourassa of Airdrie. 4 terrific grandsons, Ben and Jacob Bourque of Calgary. Riley and Colby Jardine of Airdrie. 3 brothers, Marc Bourassa (Lynn), Guy Bourassa (Ruth), and Peter Bourassa. Predeceased by his father Jean-Marc Bourassa and sister, Nicolle Mann. As per Dales wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at his home, in Mt. Uniacke, in the summer. Donations made be made to any animal shelter in honor of his love of animals, big and small.

Rest in peace Dale. My thoughts are with you and your family. My memories are of our many adventures over the years. Dinner party's at your home, fishing trips to Newfoundland, road trip to Florida, many camp visits , only to mention a few of our many road trips. I know your buddies Paul and Eddie have been waiting for you to join them and have a cold beer waiting. Save me a seat for when it is my turn. You have been a very good friend to me over the years and you will be missed . One of your favorite sayings was that they will never take us alive has come to pass. Always in my heart. Dear Linda, Jayme and Celeste. I am so sorry for your loss. It is a very nice picture of Dale with that smile! Dale truly loved his family and Linda was indeed his rock and soul mate. Dale had a fabulous sense of humour and was a great cook! May you take comfort in memories and knowing how many friends are thinking and hugging you all in this most difficult time.

It's hard to know what to say after a lifetime of close friendship and adventures. A true friend to the end. I'm glad that Steve and I got to go and say our final good-byes in person, assured by Dale that he was ready to go, after a good life.I will miss him always and all our camping trips and our talks and laughter. Carol and I were both Dale's friends all our lives and we send our love to Linda and all the family.

Our condolences to Linda and family on Dale’s passing. Dale was definitely a true friend that I had known for 50 + years. One evening while having a drink he commented that as long as we’ve known each other we have never had an argument. Now, that’s saying something because Dale was always ready for someone to disagree with him. He was sharp witted and stood his ground in any debate. Dale was a fighter! He fought the good fight to the very end! Lucy and I will miss you! RIP Brother! ~ Moe & Lucy Muise

Linda, Celeste, and Jayme: I smile a lot when I think of Dale. He possessed many wonderful qualities. If forced to highlight only one, I'd choose his understanding and demonstration of how to be a great friend. My sincere sympathies to you all.

I am so shocked to hear of Dale's death. He was such a good friend to Paul, now they are up there having a beer, I'm sure, talking of old times. I always remember his good sense of humor. My deepest sympathies to you Linda, Jayme and Celeste. I have walked in your shoes Linda and my heart goes out to you. I would love to hear from you. Give my love to the girls. Again, so sad, RIP.
