I knew Don as a Firefighter and as a friend. I recall standing by for the Snowbirds in Downsview, when they landed this guy crawled out of the passenger seat of the Tutor took his Snowbird helmet off…. It was Don with a big smile on! He was flying with them from Moose Jaw to train local Firefighters emergence rescue procedures. My condolences to Don’s family and all his friends. RIP Don.

So sorry to hear of Don’s death. I enjoyed knowing him first from Camp Borden ON where we were on our basic fire fighting course in the RCAF. He always had an engaging chuckle and could always be expected to show up at our annual curling event to fellowship with his many friends in the fireftr community. My condolences to all those close to him but especially to his sisters whom I met at his home in the Toronto area in 1964 when he graciously invited some of us from Borden to spend a weekend there with his family. May the peace of Christ envelope all those grieving at this time.

I knew Don since 1967 when I got transfered to CFB Downsview. He was always happy go lucky and enjoyed life to the fullest. Don became a good friend and was my best man at my wedding in1971. Stayed good friends and saw each other often over the years. It was always pleasant to reminisce about old times and old friends. Rest in peace good buddy. You will certainly be missed .
