On behalf of myself and my family, I wanted to convey my sincerest condolences to Scotty's family and friends. I just heard of his passing or would have offered condolences much sooner. Scotty was one of our favourite taxi drivers and he always insisted on helping load and unload groceries and help my mom or dad out of the car. He will be missed. May you find some solace in being with each other and sharing stories about Scotty.

Scotty, I have known you for as long as I can remember. My family were in the taxi business and you were great friends with them. I worked at Driscols Texaco as a teenager and you often came to get gas and always had a friendly way about you. Later on I spent several years in the taxi business and got to know you so well. You were one of my few friends out there in that business and you were always interested in everything I did in my life in and out of the taxi business. I will always be grateful that you contacted me through my mother to come and see you in the hospital in your final days. Even on your dying bed you had a sparkle in your eye and had nothing but positive things to say. You were the hardest working person that I have ever known. Rest in peace my dear friend, you left behind a wonderful family that loved you very much.

I am very sorry to read of Scotty's passing. I grew up in Herring Cove and knew all the boys. He was always known as Scotty in the Cove . I have not had contact with the family for many many years . As we grow older we journey through life with our own families and that is the way life is .A fine man gone too soon. May he rest in peace. Ross McAvoy

Hello Little brother, You are so loved! As long as we draw a breath, you will be remembered deep in our hearts and live in our souls. For our sister Stella and the gang of eight, you shared the wonderment of our brother. He was strong, funny, wise, and always there when you needed him. He loved you all so much. We take solace in knowing that he joins those who went before him, especially brother Billy who has waited along time for us. We will miss them until we meet again. Your big sister.
