Obituary For Ian Anthony Campbell

Ian Anthony Campbell, age 64 of Halifax passed away on Thursday, November 15th at the QEII with his spouse Ursula and sister Heather at his bedside. His life revolved around his time in the service as a career Reservist. Ian served with the 33rd Service Battalion out of Willow Park attaining the rank of Master Warrant Officer before retiring due to ill health. Ian was raised in Purcell’s Cove and was the son of the late Robert M and Rita C (Durick) and predeceased by brothers William, Martin, Thane and sister Roberta Hallam. Ian is survived by Ursula (Beranger) Campbell, Halifax, brother Colin (Marilyn) Campbell, Halifax, sisters Constance (Renzo) Del Medico, Brampton and Heather Malone, Truro. Special thanks to staff at Cardio-Vascular ICU and to his neighbor and friend John Richardson. No funeral at the request of the deceased. A family gathering will be held later, and cremation has taken place under the care of Donald K. Walker, Funeral Director. Donations in Ian’s memory may be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation.     I spoke with Ian by phone on a daily basis. I find I still wait for his call. We always signed off by saying we loved each other. I will miss his dry humour and tall tales. I love you brother. Sister Heather
