Obituary For Jessie Marie Bowden

BOWDEN, Jessie Marie Age 77 - Louisdale, NS

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mom, Jessie Marie Bowden, on December 23, 2018, surrounded by her family and extended family at St. Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre. Our Lord took mom home to be reunited and join hands once again with the love of her life, Jack Bowden.

Jessie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Boudreau of Louisdale. She leaves behind a legacy of love for her children: Margaret, Karen, Derek and Michael; Grandchildren Mandy, Courtney, Johnathan, Ceilidh, Brody, and Alexa; great grandchildren Rhylan, Peyton, and Harper, sister Theresa and nephew Roy, who was very much like a brother to her. She was predeceased by her sister Yvonne and brother Vernon "Guy" Boudreau.

Mom will always be remembered for her strength, courage and ability to always dawn her beautiful smile. She had a sparkle in her eyes that could melt hearts and a certain twinkle when she was up to her usual mischief and of course the pet sayings she had for all of us with a dash of devilish on the side.

Beaucoup, Beaucoup Mom and Dad, Merry Christmas in Heaven. Please kiss each other twice for all of us...until we meet again.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Donald K. Walker Funeral Directors Ltd. Visitation will be held in the Glen Sampson Room, Louisdale from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Thursday, December 27th. Funeral Mass to follow on Friday, December 28th at 11am in St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Louisdale with Rev. Duncan MacIssac officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Autism Society of Nova Scotia, Strait Area Chapter or a charity of your choice. To send messages of comfort to the family, please visit donaldkwalker.ca

Margaret, Karen, Derek, Michael, Theresa & All your families: Peter & I we’re so very saddened to hear of Jessie’s passing. Our thoughts & prayers are with you all as is my heart. Jessie was such a beautiful, loving mother, grandmother, wife, cousin & great lady to all who had the privilege of knowing her. I so remember whenever there was a birthday in the Boudreau or Bowden Family, you were sure to hear it announced on radio as she would call it in. She never forgot anyone’s birthday & loved announcing it. We loved visiting her at the home in Arichat in the summer. No matter how long you had not seen her, she knew who you were. She had a twinkle in her eye & a smile on her face which could never be forgotten. We will miss your smile & laughter cuz. You were always a great trooper & would play along with whatever you were asked to do. The last few visits were very difficult for you as you could not lift you head well or speak much, but your eyes lit up when you saw us & that twinkle in your eye said it all. Rest In Peace with your loved ones. I’m sure you are making them all laugh as you were so good at that. We will miss you. Xoxo Love you always. Love Peter & Linda Samson, Acton Ontario.
