Following this, she was a favorite food waitress at the Hub Beverage Room for 14 years and loved the chance to exchange jokes & stories with all of her customers. Joan was my "second" mom growing up during my early childhood. Joan treated me as if I was one of her daughters! Spending weekends at her house (sleepovers with Tina - my best buddy), going to Tony's store to get candy, trips to the Ice Cream Factory, camping trips to Sherwood Forest, dancing in her dance studio (going to the Corte dances in Halifax), drinking Pepsi floats, watching the Donny & Marie show Friday nights, sharing Christmas/Halloween/Easter with her family, sleeping in their camper parked in the driveway, etc.....the list can go on and on and on! I looked forward to every Christmas season, at my house, waiting for Tina and Joan (sometimes Logan and Janet) to visit and have lunch and my homemade Christmas cookies! Joan knew I loved her! Thank you so much for everything, Joan! Heaven has another angel! Big hugs to my best friend, Tina; Janet, Heather, Tom and families! Kelly (Conrod) Eaglestone *My father, Tom, and my sister, Janet, send their condolences, too! xoxoxo
