Obituary For Lois J Ward McKnight

Lois J. Ward McKnight born in Chipman, NB and residing in Eastern Passage, NS passed away peacefully at the Dartmouth General Hospital during the early hours of February 11th, 2020 at the age of 90.

She was the daughter of Vernon and Glenna Ward (Austin) of Chipman, NB. She was predeceased by her husband Roland and son Stephen, her parents and five of her siblings ,Elmer, Elsie, Ida, Ernest and Eva. She is survived by three siblings, Lorna, Frank and Carol. Her daughter Beth and son Paul (Sherry). Also her three grandchildren, Lindsey Lynch(Joshua) and Justin Lynch(Stephanie) and Meghan McKnight. Also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lois bowled competitively for over four decades and had well over eighty trophies! She was also a highly skilled seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Lois spent many of her last days knitting hats and mittens for the less fortunate in our community! Lois also had a green thumb. She dedicated many hours weeding and labouring at her beloved backyard garden during the warmer months!

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hope for Wildlife on behalf of her beloved dog Jasper. There are tentative plans for a celebration of her life in Sussex, NB at some point in May.

    Will sadly miss this loving caring lady so much. Always looked forward to her letters she sent me over the years. Will cherish the wonderful memories that I carry in my heart when I used to go and stay with my Aunt Lois. Especially when they lived across from the ice cream factory. . Will miss you dearly Aunt Lois. Forever in my heart.

    My deepest sympathy Paul and Sherry. I chatted with your mother a few times when I was out working in the garden and she was still able to walk up the street. Such a lovely lady. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
