Obituary For Lynn Horne

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Lynn Horne of Eastern Passage (65) on February 13, 2019, after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. Lynn was born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, spent much of her young years in Truro, Nova Scotia and was a graduate of Dalhousie University. Lynn went on to work in various capacities and with countless artists in the Canadian music industry. Lynn had a true love for songwriters, especially the songwriters of Atlantic Canada. Her tireless devotion and passion for the stories and music of our corner of the world were widely recognized. Lynn was a two time ECMA recipient, most recently having won the Dr. Helen Creighton Lifetime Achievement award in 2018. Lynn always had a warm smile, a big hug and a listening ear for anyone who needed it. Lynn is survived by the loves of her life, her daughter Jennifer (Craig Lelievre), grandaughter Julia Ray Lelievre, Waverley, NS, her sister Lori (Rob) Ayearst, Canmore, AB, mother Donna Fitzgerald, Truro, NS and niece and nephew Hannah and Forrest Ayearst, Canmore, AB. Lynn and I along with my 2 sisters shared a rooming house together in 1974 when we all attended Dalhousie University. We had many great conversations in the kitchen that we all shared. Although we lost touch over the years I have fond memories of the time we spent together. My condolences to her daughter Jennifer and all her family. Q
