Obituary For Sharron Ann Bowers

Sharron Ann Bowers was born in Halifax, NS. On May 8, 2019, Sharron went to do her crafts in heaven. She was the second daughter and the second last child of the late Ralph and Florence (Romo) Bowers and was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her “Before WWII” siblings: Ralph, Desi, Greg, Bob and Florence and her “After WWII” siblings, Donnie and Wayne. Sharron is survived by her sisters-in-law Carol, Lucille, and Debra. She has numerous nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Sharron loved children and at times was a caregiver for preschoolers.

She grew up in the north end of Halifax attending St. Stephen's School and church. In her late teens, she allowed a family to adopt her beautiful daughter, Therese, so all could have a better life. She loved her daughter all her life and wished she could have had a relationship with her and her children.

Sharron studied and became a hairstylist, eventually moving to Vancouver. She also worked as a cosmetician in BC and NS. She returned to NS in 1981. She managed a charity thrift shop and then worked in data entry in the banking industry. She often managed apartment buildings.

Sharron's passion was crafting. She crocheted, worked with ceramics, made ornaments for every occasion and personalized handmade cards and much more.

She loved cats and always had one or many!

Sharron had a huge heart and loved helping everyone whenever she could. She always arrived long before an event to help and stayed long after to help clean up.

A Celebration of Sharron's Life will be held in the community room at her home at 3 PM. Please ring apartment # 112 – 5515 Victoria Road, Halifax on Saturday, May 11, 2019. The service will begin at 3:30 PM with a reception and sharing of memories to follow.
