Obituary For William (Billy) Lyon O'Handley

William (Billy) Lyon O’Handley passed away on Thursday December 6th at age 72 surrounded by his family and friends.

Son of the late Alexander and Bernetta (O’Neil) O’Handley. He is survived by his daughter Tracy (Kenny Cousins) O'Handley, Windsor N.S., sons Corey (Erin Mowbray), Toronto On., and Mathieu (Mandy Chauhan) Leduc Ab. Grandchildren Victoria Cousins, and Emma and Ethan William O’Handley. Brothers Ronald, Alex, and John and sisters Sandra (Dr. John) Steeves, Mary (Bob Lucas) Daniel, Ann Marie (James) Stewart and Paula (Norman) Hodder. And many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents and sisters Catherine (Clarence) Prince and Rita (infancy).

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

    So sorry to hear of Billys passing .I knew him when we lived in I Spryfield about 40 years ago a very special kind person I often wondered about him we were fellow capers. Fly high Billy. My prayers are with you all

    Sorry to hear about Billy. We shared many cups of tea over a lot of BS over the years and disagreed on everything. Going to miss the little guy. My thoughts are with his family God bless

    To all of Billy's Family . I will cherish all of laughter and fun we had. Billy and I sure rocked the seniors building we lived in. If you needed help Billy was there to give a hand. I myself and Cleo my dog that Billy walked everyday will truly miss our buddy. I am going to miss the (F)that he spoke of alot. We had alot fun, from traveling to the beaches. Billy loved cards and people. Bless all of his family at this time of sorrow. May my buddy rest in peace. Tommy and Cleo

    My sincere condolences to all the family of Billy' s passing... I will miss his visits and all the chats we had on the phone... laughing and giggling and all his many stories and he never missed saying " I love you girl " and I said love you too .... he was my first cousin and more like best friends .. Love , Hugs and Prayers to all !

    I never knew his name but recognize his face. He was a regular customer at my Sobeys store. Always had a story or 2 about random stuff. Im so sorry for for your loss. RIP Billy

    So sorry to hear of Billy's passing. I knew Billy many years ago when he was living in Spryfield and I worked in a pet store at the mall. He would often drop in for coffee and a story. My memories of Billy are fond thoughts of a man who was true to his friends and always willing to help out a friend in need. RIP

    I live in the same app. as Billy & he was a very good man.He would rake & water the grass while i was doing the gardening of my own free will.He always stop to talk or give a kind word.So sad to see him go & so soon.RIP
