Obituary For Christina Gray Bailey

On Wednesday May 29th, 2024, Christina (Gray) Bailey died at the amazing age of 95. Christina was a gentle woman, generous to her core and will be remembered for her dedication, devotion and resilience.

Family meant everything to Christina who cherished gatherings like holiday brunches. She also loved playing Bingo, watching Bob Barker’s The Price Is Right and the many years spent with her one true love husband Lionel ‘Buck’ Bailey until his death 30 years ago.
Over the course of her long, blessed life, ‘Tina’ and her beloved ‘Buck’ with great care and morality raised their three children. Once her children had grown up, Tina returned to her previous employer at Allen Print.

In her last two years, Christina was a resident of Parkstone Enhanced Care in Clayton Park. During her time there, ‘Tina’ was lovingly cared for by the Mount Lane team and her family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to everyone at Parkstone for being so wonderful and kind.

Christina is survived by her loving children and grandchildren: her sons Bruce Bailey (Donna) and Andrew Bailey (Nicolle) as well as grandchildren Shawn (Donna), Nicholas (Stephanie), Olivia (Roy), Rachael (Alex), Adam (Maddy) and great-grandchildren Emma, Aiden and Karli. Among her many siblings, remains her sister Christine Ward from Leicestershire, United Kingdom. Dearest Christina was pre-deceased by her husband Lionel Bailey, her eldest daughter Deborah Boutilier (d. Alan), grandson Alex Bailey along with her parents George and Helen Gray and her 14 siblings.

Join family and friends when all gather to celebrate Christina Bailey on Friday July 26th at St. Luke’s Anglican Church on Veterans Road in Dartmouth for a prayer service and reception 11am followed by interment 1pm at St. John’s Cemetery. Given Christina’s love for animals, in lieu of flowers, donations to animal charities are welcome and appreciated.
