Obituary For Clarence Edward Blair Bennett

Blair was born in 1948 in Rawdon Gold Mines and was raised in Halifax Nova Scotia. On July 7 2021 at the age of 73 passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, NS. He spent 30+ years working as a professional Wool finisher at Wendy’s Reliable Dry Cleaners. He spent 20+ years’ working at the NSHA in Linen as well as Food & Nutrition services. Along with his time at NSHA he was a Shop Steward and union Local Vice President with the NSGEU. In 1995 he obtained his High School Diploma from NSCC. He was predeceased by his Mother Laura Bennett, Father Earl Bennett and Brother Joseph Bennett. He is Survived by his Wife of 47 Years Priscilla Bennett (Graves), His Son Scott Bennett, His Daughter Michelle Jacklyn, His Grandson Darren Jacklyn and as well as his Great Granddaughter Faith Jacklyn. He’s survived by His Brothers David Bennett (Marion), Gary Bennett (Nancy), Norman Bennett (Shelly), Steve Bennett, John Bennett (Angela) and Sister Donna Bennett. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. His favourite pastime was watching old Westerns especially John Wayne movies. He loved Boxing, Baseball, Hockey and Football. As well he bowled in various leagues for over 40+ years. We would also like to extend a thank you to Victoria General Hospitals units 3A and 3B for their staff and the amazing care he received from them. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
