Obituary For Daniel Joseph Wells

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Daniel Joseph Wells on December 15th, 2020. Born in Halifax on May 24, 1950, to Mary B. (Jeffery) and Maurice J. Wells.

Dan grew up in the Purcell’s Cove and Ferguson’s Cove areas of Halifax, where he lived all his life. He was a long time employee of the Halifax Irving Shipyard and always said he would die at work with a welder in his hands. He was also a long time member and supporter of the Purcell’s Cove Social Club, where with out a doubt he kept members and friends entertained for decades. Being the last of his immediate family, he will be remembered and missed by many cousins, friends, and associates. We are sure “Danny stories” will keep us entertained for decades to come.

Cremation has taken place, no service at his request, a gathering may take place at a later date. Donations can be made to Diabetes Canada Nova Scotia Division, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or a charity of your choice.
