Obituaries

Age 91, Formerly of Elmsdale passed away on August 14th, 2018 at Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home.

Born in Tantallon on Sept. 25th, 1926 to parents Harold and Mary (Romans). She was predeceased by brothers, Arthur, Donald & Ralph. She is survived by brother Nelson (Florence) and sister’s Edna Deman (Husband Gordon) & Ethel Deman.

She met her late husband Karl while working in the woods with her father where she cooked for the work camp. They later married and moved to Cornwell, NS where they raised their sons Kenneth, Ira, Jerome (Ferne) & daughters Myrtle Benoit and Lucille (Dennis) Skilton. She was predeceased by her last child in infancy. She loved cooking; knitting/sewing and she made clothes and quilts. She also loved playing cards & her tea. Besides her siblings, she is survived by her children, grand & great grand children and friends. A private ceremony will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice or to Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home, who the family thanks the staff for providing care to Esther. Thank you to Leslie Bailey with Donald K.
