Obituary For George Alexander Slaunwhite

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Alexander Slaunwhite age 88 on May 31st , 2024 . He was the son of the late Fred and Annie Slaunwhite . George lived in Terence Bay N. S. with his beautiful wife Ruby May (Webster) where they raised four wonderful children .
George was a loving husband , father , brother , uncle , and grand father who loved life . He did many things throughout his life to provide for his family , he was a fisherman , truck driver , worked on towers and was a skilled laborer , but he always made time for his family and friends. He was full of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh, he always had a smile to share and knew how to make everyone feel welcome .

He loved Newfoundland music and never passed up an opportunity to dance , He also enjoyed fishing ,gardening and spending time with his family , one of his favorite past times was sitting on the deck watching the humming birds with his wife Ruby listening to his favorite tunes .

Sorry for your loss. George was a very kind and gentle man who loved life and loved people. He was always available to help people with any odd job to be done. Over the past few years I have been spending more time with him as he was not able to get out and about like he used to and at times his memory was better than mine when telling stories. He will be greatly missed by us. Rest easy Uncle George you will never be forgotten. Love Tom and Linda.
