Obituary For Jean Louise Hubley
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister and Nanny, Jean Louise (Hogan) Hubley. Jean peacefully passed away, with her favourite sister by her side, on July 28th 2023, at the VG site, at the young age of 65.
Born in Halifax, she was the youngest daughter of the late Lloyd & Marg (Thompson) Hogan. Jean spent her early years in Halifax’s South End and Musqudobbit Harbour until her parents moved to Spryfield in 1965. Jean attended West School, Pine Grove/B. C. Silver Jr. High & then J. L. Ilsley High school.
Jean had a 40 year career with MT&T/Aliant/Bell until her retirement in 2015. After retirement, Jean enjoyed shopping trips of any sort, dining with her school chums, drives (long & short!), rug hooking and quilting. She loved decorating the family home inside & out that she & Mark purchased 39 years ago, as well as spending any chance she could at the cottage in East Linden. Jean will be remembered by all for her infectious smile & laugh.
Jean is survived by her husband, Mark, of 45 years, their children, Tara (Steve) White, Birmingham, AL; Sheena (Brandon), Lwr Sackville, Evan (Becky), Mid Sackville, grandchildren; Dylan Robinson, Linden & Briar White, Alaya & Kya Hubley. Jean is also survived by her brother Lloyd (Jacqueline) Hogan & sister, Sandra "Sandi" (Georges) Lamoureux, as well as many inlaws, neices & nephews. Jean was additionally survived by her ever faithful canine companion, her Golden Doodle, Dexter.
As per Jean’s wishes, she has been cremated & there will be no funeral. Donations may be made in memory of Jean to the Canadian Liver Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
