It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kathleen Heather Leitch.(Dares) announces her passing at the Dartmouth General Hospital on March 5 after a lengthy illness. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of Beatrice and Harry Dares. Kathleen was predeceased by her mother Beatrice and her father Harry, brothers Dennis Dares and Ronald Dares. Kathleen was a mother first and foremost to her two sons Kevin and Steven and especially loved her role as Nan and loved to spoil her grandchildren.

Kathleen was known for her infectious laugh and her great sense of humor which in turn spread to anyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all.

The family would like to thank Northwood Home Care, the doctors and nurses and staff at 4 East Dartmouth General and Julie Naugle, a special friend who loved and cared for Kathleen.
