Obituary For Lanson Leeming Allen
Lanson Leeming Allen, age 71 passed away peacefully on May 24/2026 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Montague, Prince Edward Island he was the son of the late Leeming & Hilda (Jones).
In his younger years he enjoyed playing Baseball & Hockey. He enjoyed watching TV especially hockey when the Toronto Maple Leafs were playing. While he may not have cooked, he could be found in the kitchen helping prep every holiday meal for his family.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Lance began his trucking career at age 18 driving an 18 wheeler. While working many years with the Ceres & Halterm ports he created many relationships and lots of good friends. He worked right up until his diagnosis.
Lance is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Annette(Goyetche) daughter Jill(Stephen) sons Justin(Shelbi) and Jonathan. Cherished grandchildren Luke, Keegan, Nathan, Dawsyn, Carter and Lincoln whom he always had treats ready for. As well as sister Carol Ann Simms.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Leeming & Hilda(Jones), brother Kenneth, mother and father in-law Delore & Clairisse(Fougere) Goyetche.
In keeping with Lance’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the Palliative Care Team and Mike Berrigan/Guysborough Transfer for their compassion & kindness during Lance’s illness.
