Obituary For Margaret V. Snow

Margaret (Peggy) V. Snow, 82, a cherished resident of Dartmouth, peacefully passed away on July 1st, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer (MDS).

Born in St. Anthony, NL. She was the daughter of the late Mabel Styles and Eli Canning.

Following retirement, she and her husband Kevin created countless treasured memories during their winters in Florida, a place they frequently reminisced about.

Family was of utmost importance, and she delighted in spending time with her four adored grandchildren: April, Jacob, Samantha and Scottie. She found joy in knitting and crocheting, dedicating her skills to creating beautiful sweaters and afghans, many of which she selflessly donated to senior’s homes.

Left to mourn her loss is her devoted husband of 62 years, Kevin residing in Dartmouth. Peggy will be deeply missed by her children: Judy (Dartmouth), Jeffrey (Gisele) of Moncton NB. Debbie (Leanne) of Halifax, and Donald (Kim) of Bedford. Her memory will forever live on through her grandchildren: April, Jacob, Samantha and Scottie. She is survived by her Aunt Elizabeth (Will) Rose of Kentville, NS, and her aunts Vickie (Albert, deceased) Styles, and Menie (Bruce, deceased) Styles of St, John’s, NL, as well as numerous cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Maurice.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the VG Hematology Department and Hospice Halifax for their exceptional care and support during Peggy’s illness.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, located at 345 Pleasant St, Dartmouth on Friday July 7, 2023 at 11:00 am. Following the service a reception will be held in the church hall, where loved ones can gather to share fond memories and support one another.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests considering a donation to Hospice Halifax. Contributions can be made in memory of Peggy on line at https://hospicehalifax.ca/ways-to-give/donate, supporting the organization that provides compassionate care to those in need.

Peggy’s infectious spirit, kindness, and love for her family will forever be remembered by all whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace

    I love you Nanny and Grampy so much. I am very glad and honoured to speak at Nanny's funeral. I think we had a special bond and I know she will be with me on my wedding day. We are here for you always Grampy. Grampy, Pick me up a little leaf!♥️ You know how special you both are to me. Nanny was amazing and we will keep all the good memories alive. I will never forget all the good times and trips visiting you guys in NS every summer when I was younger (glad I did last summer too), florida, and all the times you came to stay with us in Moncton with lots of treats from Masstown!
