Obituary for Dr. Emmanuel Rick Odoom

Dr. Emmanuel Ricky Odoom, age 72, died peacefully at home on November 29, 2017, NS.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, his son Dominic (Martia); and his sister Regina Odoom (Ghana). He is preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers and a sister all of Ghana.
Throughout his life he worked on many merchant ships as a Chief Engineer for over 20 years. In 2006, he accepted a position as a Marine Engineering Teacher at NSCC in Port Hawkesbury NS, where he worked for more than 10 years until his retirement. Ricky and was a content, caring man who was deeply involved in education for most of his life. His family and friends will always remember him as a gentle, generous, intelligent, and honest person.
A funeral is scheduled for 11am on December 8, 2017, at Donald Walker Funeral Home with a reception to follow. Reverend Stewart Williams will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ricky’s life. The family would like to thank the Sparks family for their support. Donations can be sent
