As a young girl "Sister", as her family called her, loved to swim at their beach, enjoyed family camping trips every summer to PEI, and getting into trouble with her best friend and sister Joanna.

Later in life she met Albert, the love of her life, and moved into her childhood home. Along with her passion for geneology she was a lifelong artist who enjoyed painting scenes of the Prospect community she lived in and the flowers from her garden, which she avidly tended to every season. She also enjoyed teaching and painting along with her nieces and nephews whom affectionately named her "Rellen”. She loved gatherings at Joanna’s where many laughs were had and many memories made and loved Ryan and Deidre’s visits and dinners together.
Mary Ellen was a wonderful lady who will always be remembered for her kindness, creativity, her witty sense of humor, her sign language for her brother-in-law, her passion for life and for truly being a charismatic wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.
