Diane and Donna: There really are no words to describe the friendship I had with Al over the years. I shall miss his jokes and being called an old coot. He was brave until the end and now he will rest in peace. As you both know I am here for you and will be forever... Much love Sharon and Bruce xo

Diane and Donna and Alex's family, please accept my heartfelt condolences at the passing of a great man. I've known Alex since my real estate career began 25 years ago. He was the nicest, kindest man I've ever met. He always had a story or a joke to share and always made me feel like he was my friend. I know the past few years have been rife with illness and worries, but I pray Alex is now at peace. To you both, if there is any way that I can help, please let me know. Love and sympathy to you both.

Our thoughts are with you Diane and the Burtch family. Alex's tribute of his life didn't mention him and his brother's foray with Scotia Parlor Pub in Lower Sackville. There are many people, the least of which is the entire Evong Family that appreciated the camaraderie and friendships that were forged at their establishment. Sincerely, Finley & Alice Evong

I have been fortunate over my entire life to know and be a part of the Burtch family. I met AL 50 years ago when his daughter, Donna, and I met in primary. He was a man who always welcomed me into their home as another member of the family. There were many laughs as he was always making jokes 🤣 Never a day will pass without the many memories he has given me and I will always have a smile in thought. Rest in Peace and don't be too demanding while you fly with the angels. Love you forever AL xoxo Shelly H
