Obituary For Barbara A Hamlyn

Barbara A. Hamlyn, age 72, passed peacefully away on December 19, 2025.

Born on July 28 in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, Barbara was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, and the deep love she had for her family.

Predeceased by her parents, Robert G. Hamlyn and Carolyn (St. Croix) Hamlyn, and by her brother Kenneth and sister-in-law Shirley.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Robert Hamlyn (Tara), Tracey Simms (Dwayne), and Anna Flimer; her cherished grandchildren: Autumn, Harmony, Tiffany, and Joseph (Brooke); and her precious great-grandchildren: Louis and Adrian.

Also left to mourn are her brothers and sisters: Robert, Paul (Elaine), Debbie (Leonard), Wayne (Cheryl), Sherry (Roger), and Michelle (Jack), along with a large circle of extended family and friends.

Barbara’s gentle spirit, caring heart, and devotion to her family will never be forgotten. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

    My deepest condolences to Barbs family and especially to her son Rob . She was my very good friend for many years and we shared many adventures and good times . We also helped each other through some hard times . I will always remember her fondly.

    Sherry Hand

    My condolences to Barb's family! She was not only my next-door neighbor in Trail BC but also a wonderful friend and "Auntie Barb" to my girls Jenna and Carly. We had so many outings together with our families and had many many laughs! I will treasure the memories of our times spent together. She holds a special place in my heart. Sherry Hand
