Obituary For Robert Cox

It’s with heavy hearts, the family of Robert (Bob) Cox announces his passing on February 18, 2026.

Born in Amherst, NS. in January 1941, Bob was the beloved son of the late Lewis and Marjorie (Dobson) Cox.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marlene, his brother Jim (Fran) Cox, and wonderful extended family. He was predeceased by his parents and his stepfather Bub.

Bob was a stationary engineer by trade but he never spent a single day stationary.

On the day he proposed to the love of his life Marlene- his first question was “Will you marry me?” and he followed it up with “Do you want to start a business?“

And so ‘Rowico Industrial Equipment & Supply’ was born. If a valve had value, a pump could be primed or a tool was needed- you could bet that Bob was your man. He spent his entire life making a buck from a bolt and he loved every minute of the game.

Bob and Marlene lived in multiple places over the years, but always called Dartmouth, NS home. They enjoyed a vibrant business partnership, many adventurous vacations and spending time with their families and friends.

Cremation was entrusted with Donald K Walker Funeral Directors in Dartmouth, NS.

We are honoring Bob's request to not hold a formal service.

    I have many people I looked up to and learned a lot from in my short life and Bob Cox was one of them , he treated me like I was part of his family when I was a kid and I remember a few of my first business deals were with Mr. Cox. He was one of a kind and will be missed by all .
