Obituary For Bradley Elliott Davidson

Age 73, of Berwick, passed away August 20, 2023 at Valley Regional Hospital. Born January 30, 1950 in Wolfville NS to Garnett & Lexie Davidson. Bradley spent a happy childhood on the Gaspereau Mountain. He was a keen student and skipped two grades in the one room country school house he attended, becoming the youngest student to ever attend Horton High School at age 10. At 19, he married his teenage sweetheart and settled in Kentville where he raised his family, working as an Insurance Salesman. He also ran his own sewing machine repair business.

Brad loved to read and his literary tastes ranged from Charles Dickens to the Complete Collection of Calvin & Hobbes and Peanuts. Brad’s favourite things included sharing a coffee, a chat and a laugh with friends and loved ones. He was a cat person at heart, but in recent years developed a close kinship with Arlo and Martha, fur babies of the dog variety. He loved nothing more than going for a drive with the windows down and Roy Orbison playing on the car stereo. His greatest joy came from his grandchildren and he loved to hear of all their adventures and accomplishments.

Brad was a life long Bible reader and took great comfort in the Bible’s promises for a better future for the human family. He was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed imitating Jesus’ example by sharing his faith with others.

Brad is survived by his wife of 53 years Marie Davidson (nee Mason), Berwick; daughters Heidi Davidson-Crowell (Chris Crowell), New Minas and Cynthia Davidson MacIsaac (Alex), Sackville; grandchildren Marshall MacIsaac, Mason MacIsaac, Tristan Crowell and Ella Crowell; sister-in-law Helen Larmour, London ON; as well as many cousins, including favourite cousins and childhood playmates Heather (Hebby) Wall, Dartmouth, Owen Keddy, Cambridge and Maurice Davidson, Burlington, ON. Besides his parents, Brad was pre-deceased by sister Gale Davidson in infancy; and brother-in-law Murray Larmour. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Dr. James Ozon and the ER staff at Valley Regional Hospital, as well as Dr. Crystal Todd for excellent care over the past 20 years.

A Memorial Service will be held 2 pm on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2 Baden Powell Drive, Kentville. Zoom Meeting ID: 864 5960 5245 Passcode: 19651113 Mr Banfield Parsons officiating. Reception and Fellowship to follow.
