Denton (“Deny”) Charles White

Deny passed away on December 10, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Dorothy “June” (Trask) White.

Deny lived his life with a strength and steadiness that anchored those around him. He was a smart, capable man — the kind of person who could solve problems with ingenuity and sheer stubbornness, and offer advice that stayed with you long after the conversation ended. He had a gift for connection, able to strike up and carry on a conversation with anyone he met, whether a lifelong friend or a stranger at the grocery store.

An avid outdoorsman, Deny spent many happy seasons fishing, hunting, and sharing his love of nature with his family and friends. He was most at home with the sun on his face, a fresh breeze on the water or in the woods, and a story ready to be told. His warmth, humour, and grounding presence made him unforgettable.

Deny is survived by his loving wife, Celeste (Fitzgerald) White; his daughter Emerald White; his son Charles White; his sister Gwen (White) Smith; and his brother Michael White.

Deny faced his final days with honesty, courage, and the same stubborn strength that carried him through his life. He was surrounded by love, comfort, and family — exactly the way he wanted it.

Details about a celebration of life will be shared at a later date.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff who supported Deny with compassion and dignity during his final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to share a story, call someone you love, or spend a little time outdoors in his honour.

He will be deeply missed, and forever loved.
