Obituaries

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Mother, Nana, Nana Moe, on April 26, 2025. Upon meeting Eileen you would soon come to know that her family was the epicenter of her life. She worked hard to ensure we were taken care of and loved beyond measure. One of her favorite things to do was gather with her large family and share a meal with a good glass of wine. No one would ever leave her house hungry or wanting more. Usually you had a little extra to take home just in case. Not only was her own family a priority but Eileen provided a home for many foster children over the years, and loved them like her own for the time they were with her. It was always with hope,and a little piece of her heart, that she would send them off to new homes each a little better off for being under her wing.

Eileen in partnership with her husband, Gaston, were well respected members of the Dartmouth Business Community for many years. They made an amazing team. She was known to be a very strong and independent women throughout her life.

Eileen was deeply loved by her husband Gaston(deceased) and her 6 children. Marcel (deceased), Catherine (Tim), Angela (Stephen), Mary (deceased), Cynthia (deceased) (Steven), and Mark (Krista). She was a cherish Nana, Nana Moe to 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Eileen's little wave with a quirky smile as people left her home will be missed, as well as her humor and generosity. May you lay your head down now and rest your job is well done.

As per Mom's wishes cremation will take place at Donald K. Walker Funeral Directors. No service will be held. Donations may be made to the IWK Foundation in her name.
