William Gregory "Greg" MacCoul, passed away on June 6, 2026 at age 71 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Greg was born in Truro, Nova Scotia and served in various capacities throughout his career with Public Works and Government Services Canada.

Greg was a kind, thoughtful, selfless man who always put his family first. When he wasn’t puttering around the garage working on the next project, he was cooking beautiful meals that were always enjoyed. He was a true natural at any venture. He could swing a bat, throw a strike in bowling or sink a ball in pool with ease. He was a gifted mentor who could guide anyone to a solution but made sure you left with the satisfaction of achieving it yourself. His signature pose for photos was always a subtle smirk or goofy face, no in between. Greg’s memory will always be cherished by those who loved him.

Greg’s joy and kindheartedness will live on through his beloved wife, Dee Sabiston and his son Ryan MacCoul, daughter Jennifer MacCoul, stepdaughter Tara (Brad) Sabiston and granddaughter Savannah Borkowski. He is also fondly remembered by his siblings: David (Sandra) MacCoul, Irene Bebe, Danny (JoAnn) MacCoul, Barry MacCoul, Dana MacCoul and numerous nieces and nephews. Greg was predeceased by his parents, Austin Cyril MacCoul and Lillian Geraldine (Jerry) (Hare) MacCoul, as well as his sister Edith (Kit) MacCoul.

As per Greg’s wishes, there will be a private funeral attended by his surviving spouse and children. Those wishing to honour Greg may make donations in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
