Obituary For Ellen (Jewers) Mouratis

Ellen (Jewers) Mouratis. Died Wednesday, November 8th peacefully, in the arms of those who loved her, and who never stopped being there for her. Cameron, Dilpreet, Gaurav, Tanya, her sister Sharon, and her buddy in song Sandra, who sang her from this world into the next. Music was a very large part of Ellen’s life, and she played the piano and sang at any excuse. She spent her life looking after others, and it came back to her in spades in the end. Words cannot express the kindness and care that Ellen received those last few months. A few special people were Tay and Mitch, and the doctors and nurses who came to love Ellen. There were many staff tears that mingled with ours that morning. There were many others there who I can’t name, but I can recognize angels when I see them, and they were right there with us. Left to mourn at home was her beloved Mother, Dorothy (Inness) Jewers. Her son Terry was in her heart. Predeceased by her loving father Carl Renford Jewers, and her sister Janice Ford. Ellen died with a song in her ears and a smile on her face. There will be a private internment at the graveside in the spring when the birds are singing. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Ellen’s memory can do so to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences can be given through Donald K. Walker Funeral Services.

Ellen had the kindest soul. She was always there to lend me an ear, a shoulder to cry on or a warm welcoming hug. She kept me fed and made sure I knew I was loved. I will miss her laughter and her zest for life the most. Rest Easy my friend. Melissa

So sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. She was a tremendous help to me and my young daughter years ago and although I hadn't seen her recently she has always been in my heart. My daughter kept in touch and they were very close. She was a very special lady Sincerely Lynn Wright
