Obituary For Erna Helen Sollows
Erna Helen Sollows of Eastern Passage passed away July 3rd, 2026 at the age of 85. She loved animals, plants, bingo and game shows. Playing cribbage was also a pastime for many years. She enjoyed cheering on her favourite hockey team in the playoffs the Boston Bruins.
She is survived by her son Ron, daughter-in-law Melissa (Pye), daughters Lynn Williamson and Patricia Sollows, grandchildren Brooke Poste, Jamie Williamson, Shawn Williamson and Drew Williamson. Predeceased by partner Merv Smith, brothers Ralph McCarthy and Eric McCarthy.
As per Erna’s wishes there will be no service or visitation.

1I have many wonderful memories of working with Erna at the Halifax Provinvial Court between 1977 and mid-90s when she retired. My sincere condolences to the family members and to all who knew her and loved her. May she rest in peace. Maisie Camsell

Was both saddened and surprised to hear of Erna's death. Just getting to know her at The Admiral long term home here in Dartmouth as I would visit her with our therapy dog Fergus. Could certainly see she was an animal lover and he so enjoyed visiting her. We will certainly miss our visits. May she rest in peace. Cathleen
