In 1960, Fred met and married his true love Joyce Smith (deceased 2014) in Fredericton, NB. Together they raised two daughters in Fredericton, NB and later Dartmouth, NS. A loving and adored husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, Fred will be remembered for his quick smile and the warmth and kindness he showed to everyone around him.

The family would like to thank the Berkeley (Dartmouth) residents and staff for their friendship and care over the past year.

At Fred’s request, there will not be a service at this time. A graveside service will be held on September 5, 2025 in Cambridge-Narrows, NB.

We had many great times with FRED AND JOYCE. He welcomed my mom and I into their home when I started Teachers College and later built us an apartment in their new home on Maple street. He drove me several places of which I was very thankful. He was very easy to tease. Sorry Fred. Thanks for all your generosity. Much sympathy and love to all the family.

Fred's family: Our condolences on Fred's passing. Fred was a good man, kind gentleman with a good sense of humour. We had the pleasure of spending four years at The Linden were Fred also resided. It was always a pleasure talking and interacting with Fred. Keep your fond and happier memories close to your hearts. RIP our friend. Kind Regards: Charlie & Dawn Verge

Kelli and Kim, So sorry to hear about your loss. Your Dad was a good friend and a great neighbour. Rick and I spent lots of time chatting with your parents in the backyard in the summer time. Now your parents are reunited again in Heaven. Hope that happy family memories give you comfort, during this difficult time. Hugs Lynda Raine
