It's with very heavy hearts we announce the passing of George Arthur (Art) Loggie on April 22 2026.
Art was born in Miramichi, N.B. in July 1955. He felt great pride in having deep roots in the community. Art was a huge fan of cars whether he was working on them, driving or watching racing with his son in law Justin. He also loved swimming, fishing and animals. Art leaves behind his daughter Meghan and her partner Justin.
Art is predeceased by both of his parents George(1993) and Lorna(2007) Loggie as well as his wife Ann(2012)
Art had a 40 year career at Loblaws starting in the warehouse and worked his way to IT Analyst. He made lifelong friends within the company and absolutely loved what he did. There was nothing he couldn't fix.
Art was the most selfless person you could meet and he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father and dog grandfather. He leaves a deep hole in our hearts. Donations can me made in his name to an animal rescue, the SPCA or charity of your choice.

I am another Atlantic Wholesalers/Loblaw alumni. Although I didn't work directly with Art, we were employed in the same building at the same time so obviously saw each other and spoke often. He was a very nice man. Meghan and Justin, I am very sorry for your loss.

I worked with Art for many, many years at Loblaw we both always had something to laugh at, whether it was something Simpson's related or the weird error messages he got on his computers. I am so very sorry for your loss. Art will be missed by all.

I knew Art's parents, grandparents and Art for many years. I first met Art when he was very young at his grandparent's Percy's store in Loggieville. His grandmother Ilda, made the best ice-cream sundies and orange soda and ice-cream floats. A few Loggieville friends would cross the Miramichi River from L'ville to Gordon's Wharf in Lower Newcastle to go to the beach and great swimming. Often, Art and Dorothy Gordon would come down to the beach to swim with us. Those were the great days of summer! About 7-8 years ago, Art and I reconnected on Facebook, and have been chatting for many years. I will miss our jokes and conversations. My Sincerest Sympathy and Deepest Condolences to Meghan and their extended family.

When we first married in 1968, we were lucky enough to live next door to the Loggies - who became life-long friends. Art was always special to us and, when our daughter was born, he became 'Uncle Art' to her. When we moved to PEI, he drove over to visit and hang out with us. Always such a great guy..we loved him. Take care. Love, Debbie Bernard
