Harvey Gerard Edwards, age 79, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026.

Born in Halifax, Harvey was the son of the late Marie (Gallagher) and Raymond Edwards. He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth and Barry.

Harvey is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Angela; his son, Waylon (Pamela); and his cherished grandchildren, Aden, Makayla, and Ronin. He is also survived by his former wife, Ruth (Crossley); his brother, Raymond Edwards (Caroline), and extended family.

Throughout his life, Harvey built a diverse and hardworking career that took him from Vancouver, British Columbia, back home to Halifax, Nova Scotia. He worked for many years as a truck driver before becoming an active member of Teamsters Union, Local 927. His dedication and leadership eventually led him to serve as President of the local for the Maritimes, a position he held until his retirement. Harvey was widely respected and well liked by colleagues and friends alike.

Harvey will be remembered for his strong work ethic, leadership, and the genuine kindness he showed to everyone he met.
