Obituary For James Leo Jollymore

James (Jimmie) Leo Jollymore

Past 09/16/2025

Jimmie went home to be with his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on September 16th, 2025 at the age of 76. He died peacefully in the palliative care unit, at the VG with his wife, Carol, by his side.

Jimmie worked at DND for nearly 30 years and was a former member of City Church in Spryfield. In his later years, he became quite good at baking bread, rolls, and cookies. He also loved watching The Toronto Blue Jays.

Jimmie was a giver and loved his family dearly. He is survived by his wife, Carol (nee Eigeard), of 52 years; his daughter, Michelle Ward; his son,
Steven Jollymore (Cylina); his grandchild, Nina Jollymore-Ward (Calum MacGregor); his granddaughters, Morgan Jollymore & Abby Jollymore (Joseph Muderhwa). He is also survived by brothers George (Diane), Frank (Brenda), Johnny, Tommy; and sister Cathy; Brother-in-law Ronnie MacDonald; and sister-in-law Linda LeBlanc; as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Gwen Jollymore, and sister Adele MacDonald.

Our family would like to give a special thanks to our GP Dr. Aamir Ansari and to the staff at the palliative care unit for their care and compassion that made a difficult situation easier. We will miss him very much but are happy that he is finally at peace.

Cremation and a simple family gathering have already taken place. Any donation can be made either to the heart function clinic (QEii) or the palliative care unit (VG).
