Obituary For Kathleen Jane Faulkner (Ellis)

Faulkner (Ellis), Kathleen (Kathy) Jane

Age 63 of Lower Sackville

It is with completely broken hearts that the family of Kathy Faulkner, announce her passing, surrounded by the love of her family, after a valiant battle with cancer, on Sunday December 21, at the VG Hospital’s ICU.

Born in 1962, she was the daughter of Robie and Louella (Pug) Ellis.

Surviving is her father, Robie Ellis; sister Debbie (Bruce) Guier; daughter Tabitha (Kene) Warren; cherished granddaughter, Lillian Warren; ex husband Randy (Valerie) Faulkner; many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members near and far.

Kathy was predeceased by her mother, Louella (Pug) Ellis; nephew Jolan in infancy; and her partner, Mike.

Kathy worked at Smitty’s/Sunnyside Restaurant for 37 years, making many lifelong friendships during this time.

After she retired, she enjoyed road trips, which always included a stop for some McDonald's fries, visiting with family, and hanging out with her fur babies.

She made many friends during her 63 years of life. Most recently at the "wrinkle ranch" where she had the shortest time but made more wonderful friendships.

She loved her family the most and spending time with her granddaughter put the biggest smile on her face.

Kathy was always singing even when the words weren't right. She was an exceptional, loving and caring person. She was an incredible, dedicated daughter, the best mother, and an amazing grammie. The bond between Kathy and her sister Debbie was unbreakable. The morning 7am phone calls would always go the same with Debbie asking what she was doing and Kathy always responding, “making my tea” and you? They shared everything together; they were each other's person. If one of them called in the afternoon, they knew it was a venting session.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life gathering will follow at a later date. Donations can be made in her memory to Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.

She is greatly missed and will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace, our beautiful angel.
