Obituary For Leo Joseph Little

With great sadness we share the passing of Leo. Born in Halifax June 2, 1945. Passed away October 22, 2023 in the Halifax Infirmary at age 78. Leo had a passion for antique cars, attending many car shows with his wife. He was a great Ford fanatic – loved anything Ford and often referred to himself as having “blue blood”. Leo started working for Wood Motors Ford (Steele Ford Lincoln) at the young age of 16, retiring in 2005. He spent many hours cleaning his cars, tinkering in the yard, and was passionate spending time in the Ford Man Cave. He enjoyed his Wednesday nights in the garage with his daughters and granddaughter, listening to Country Classics FX101.9 with a song request to Frankie. Frankie fondly referred to them as the Ford Family. He loved all animals even to save an injured dragonfly. Predeceased by his parents, Leo and Hattie Little. Survived by his wife Cathy of 37 years, daughters Darlene (Neil Hatt), Tina (Angus MacLean) granddaughter Violet, and goddaughter Lisa Graves.

Cremation has taken place. With Leo's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family casting ceremony will be held at a later date. ~ Throw me into the wind to be carried far away.

To Cathy, Darlene and Tina. My condolences and prayers on Leo's passing. Leo and I go back a long way, to our late years when I purchased my first car, a '56 Chevrolet and Leo had a '54 Ford. We shared many memorable moments for a few years and then periodic conversations over the years after that . I always found Leo to be a pleasant and kind person to be around. He tried to help you to the best of his ability in any circumstance. I will miss him. God bless. Carey McFeters
