Obituary For Milton "Mickey" C. MacDonald

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Milton "Mickey" C. MacDonald on July 5, 2026. At the age of 82.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Mickey was the beloved son of the late Milton and Doris Slaunwhite of Spryfield. He was predeceased by his sister, and brothers.

Mickey spent the majority of his career as a professional truck driver, retiring in 2025 after working as a dedicated school bus driver. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, and gardening. An avid bowler and enjoyed a game of bingo. Mickey also loved dancing and was often the life of the party. He was known to be out on the deck, spending time with his family, sharing stories over a cold Coors Light, and creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Mickey will be lovingly remembered by his children, Michael (Yvonne), Judy (Kevin), and Cindy (Ainsley), as well as by his cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many friends.

His laughter, and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family sends a special thanks to the QE2, Dr. Kendra, and the entire medical team there.

Our hearts break for Cindy and all of Mickey's family and we extend much love and our deepest sympathy. Mickey seemed like 'family' to us... so kind to my Mom and brother-in-law Steve. Whether hunting with my brother or simply sharing stories with us, Mickey had a beautiful, warm, loving spirit and will be sadly missed! Rest easy Mick!
