It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sheerlean Viola Johnson Burns, who passed away on July 23, 2026, at the age of 63.

Sheerlean will forever be remembered for her courage, strength, determination, and the kindness she shared so freely with everyone she met. She faced life’s challenges with resilience, grace, and an unwavering spirit that inspired those around her.

She was predeceased by her father, Bernard William Johnson of Digby, Nova Scotia; her beloved husband, Robert Burns; and her nephew, Anthony Johnson.

Sheerlean leaves behind her loving mother, Doris Johnson; her sisters, Charlotte, Marjorie, Myra, and Janice; her brother, Bernie; her devoted love, Joe; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

For many years, Sheerlean was a dedicated member of the Tim Hortons family. Through her work, she touched the lives of countless customers and coworkers with her warm smile, caring heart, and genuine compassion. What began as working relationships often grew into lifelong friendships, and many of the people she met at Tim Hortons became family in every sense of the word. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and loved, and her presence brightened the days of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Today, we honour Sheerlean and the beautiful life she created. Her legacy is one of strength, kindness, friendship, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.

Rest in peace, Sheerlean. You fought a good fight, and your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you. Forever loved, forever remembered.
