Obituary For Shirley Marie Griffin-McAllan
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Marie Griffin-McAllan at the age of 88 on August 20th, 2023. Born in Halifax and now of Dartmouth NS she was wife, mother, grand-mother and great grand-mother and was predeceased by her first husband Lawrence. Left with wonderful memories are her husband of 34 years John, her sons Michael (Melody) of Hampton NB, Blair of Dartmouth and Shawn (Andrea) of Dartmouth, beloved grandchildren Corey, Ryan, Jacob, Alex, Nicole, Shelby; 6 great-grandchildren and brother Harry (Beatrice) of Halifax and sister Barbara of Dartmouth; as well as many extended family members and friends. Although there will be no visitation or funeral service, a Celebration of Life with family and friends will take place at Life Branch Church (10 Lancaster, Dartmouth) on Friday Aug 25th at 2:00. As expressions of Sympathy donations maybe made to Doctors Without Borders or the Alzheimer’s Society. Online condolences can be made at: www.donaldkwalker.ca.

We're sure going to miss Aunt Shirley. Plenty of fond memories of her sense of humor and ready laugh, her singing and autoharp playing and just a fun time whenever we all got together. Shirley was one of the most beautiful ladies I have ever known both inside and out. Her inner beauty and graceful elegance glowed through with the kindness and love she shared with everyone who was blessed to know her. Our sincere condolences to the family.
