Obituaries

Terry Joseph Pottie, age 75, of Dartmouth (formerly Halifax), passed peacefully on February 3, 2026, with his loved ones by his side.

He was predeceased by his mother, Evelyn Pottie (Sampson); his father, Edward Pottie; and his brother, Dennis Pottie (Debbie).

Terry is survived by his two daughters, Danielle (Matt) and Nicolle (Michael); his cherished grandchildren, Brooklynn and Grayson; and his youngest brother, Bruce Pottie (Sharon).

Terry lived a good life. Though he faced many complications from diabetes throughout the years, he was a true fighter. He loved fishing, NASCAR, and spending time with his family—especially his beloved grandson, Grayson. Terry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Special thanks are extended to the nurses and staff of the 5W Ward at Dartmouth General Hospital. Your care, compassion, and kindness were deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten.
